It's probably a bi-color led, I know some people that have done this successfully, will post later when I get some details for you :)

Its actually a Multi-Coloured LED which means instead of a normal LED that has an Anode and a Cathode Leg it has two Anode Legs one for each colour

    eg.

OK i dont know what colours your LED shows but for an example lets say its Green and Orange and we will say you want your Blue LED to come on in place of the Green one.

Heres a quick diagram which represents your dvd drives solder points and the Multi-coloured LED's Legs (Just so you can roughly see what I`m trying to explain later)

First get three AA batteries and tape them end to end then get two pieces of wire and tape one on each end. This is your make shift power supply :)

Next unsolder the exsisting LED noting down the orientation to which Anode came from where. Then get your batteries and put the negative wire on the middle leg of the LED and then put the positive wire on one of the outer legs. Now it should light up either Green or Orange. (If it was like it is in my diagram if you put the positive wire on the left leg it would be green or on the right orange)

Ok now all you need to do is solder your Blue LED's Anode leg onto the same place where you removed the Green Anodes leg (if it was the same as in my diagram your anode leg would be to the left and your cathode would goto the middle leaving the right solder point free.)

And thats it, it should work fine whenever it would normaly turn Green your Blue LED should come on. Obvioulsy you`ll probably need to change the solder points etc depending on what colour comes on that you want your blue LED to come with.

Hope that helps you out :D
