Windows DVD Drive Help

    Hi

    I have updated my OS to windows 8 and now my DVD drive wont show. it wont let me burn CD's or play any disk I put in it apart from the windows 8 boot disk but it will only load from the boot disk if I restart my PC.
    I know the drive is working but I have no idea why its not showing.

    Anyone got any ideas?

    just try to add a letter to the driver from the control panel ( place that you can edit hard drive partitions and letters ) ;) Good luck
