DVD Drive wont burn

    Hi guys,

    Ive tried multiple different things such as firmware upgrades, RTFM etc.

    I have a SATA Samsung SH-S183A

    It plays discs fine, installs games and i have been happily running games off of it.

    When i try and burn a cd/dvd i get somehting along hte lines of a DMA error (looking at the error from within Nero or Roxio)

    any suggestions on what i can try next?

    what os? Vista or XP? If it's XP, run compmgmt.msc and check the dma settings under device manager.

    Its XP,

    In device manager , right click properties of the drive and then...?
