now I don't want to be comfused with those stupid pieces of software that google always throws up about a app that unlocks your pc drive thats not what I want at all.
I want to convert the ntsc iso dvd to pal to work in a pal dvd player.

DVD Shrink should do it I think, or atleast recode it to a region free ISO.

Unless you want to completely recode the movie I *think* your going to have to rip it into IFO and VOB files then edit them with something such as IFOedit. Not really played with anything like this myself so just guessing, correct me if I'm wrong :)

In DVD Shrink, File -> Open Disc Image
    Then click on Backup!

    IIRC, anyway.

I think there's some confusement here:

Either you want to remove region coding which as said can be done with dvd-shrink. Or even simpler using DVD Decrypter.

Or else you want to reencode the movie as PAL instead of the NTSC which I absolutely don't understand since I've NEVER experienced problems playing both types in any players.
