Exactly. Everyone played with Project Fear. Once you go full.... well you get the point.

@Anfield - yep, pretty sad. LibDems have said they'll take us back into europe if they get voted in. So it's the europe swing for us it seems.

Seriously? Are you claiming that not only are the economic experts wrong but also the dictionaries, next you'll be saying how the theory of relativity or the Big Bang theory clases with reality.

So you're saying free trade means there's no tariffs and taxes and also that there are tariffs and taxes, what one is it, even you don't seem to know.

Define "better people" because that sounds a lot like telling people what to think and how to act. Also going on the split between young , old, and how they voted, I'd say the young'uns had a better grasp of the facts than the majority of us old codgers.

Yea that's what you get when your government allows near monopoly conditions within the media and waves a big stick at public broadcasters in the form of charter renewal/funding.
Obviously that monopoly condition in the media wasn't anything to do with a government we've just handed unrestricted power to reshape things how they wish so we have nothing to worry about.

Yes the pattern is that people have been consistently shafted by their own government for decades, they've consistently been let down, they've consistently been turkey voting for Christmas, and they've consistently blamed others.

Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results, yet they've done exactly that, they've once again depended on the same UK political system and they're expecting a different result, they've handed more power to the very people who've been screwing them over all along.

No it's not, it's giving the very system that been making everyone life so miserable yet more power in the hopes that they're going to get a different result.

You can buy citizenship in some countries for that kind of money.

NS is a province of Canada, Surely it's the Canadian Embassy you need to obtain a visa from?

We had to go through the office in Russell Square, That was for Ontario residence and was 30 years ago.
If it has not changed, Once your a landed immigrant, pay your taxes and keep out of trouble for three years and you can apply for a Canadian Citizenship.

Why not wait a bit, The Canadaian High Commissioner wants a trade deal with the UK, these deals usually include visa travel and permits for residents of both countries.

    Harle already raised that:

Seemed to be a very "haha your voting for something your own 'side' didn't start", but hey it might just be a very bad interpretation. All this s*** has gotten me thinking the worst in people :(

as I said its just a thought - given the way most of England voted and if you look at the north south divide , the north voted quite widely to leave with immigration top of that list

its also the subject the media has been banging on about (look at the events of cologne at the new year)

I was talking to a colleague from work about the whole thing.

He's a leave voter, he voted leave to "get more money to the NHS, and get rid of immigrants (He phrased it slightly less politely)". I asked what he thought about the sudden turn around of the Leave campaign (IE: Both broken promises he voted for) and his response was "Oh well."

I'm starting to think once you start getting your state pension you shouldn't be allowed to vote anymore. Why should someone get to vote on decisions about a future they're not going to be in?

With his lacklustre performance in the referendum campaign and his insistence that Article 50 should be triggered now, I am starting to think that he is just a left-wing version of Farage. :sigh:

And this is why I think the UK will just end up in the EEA. Leavers have already stopped giving a ****. It's back to the normal business of government screwing over the electorate. And this time there will be no EU to hamper them.

Hey, that would be me! But I didn't get to vote. :p

totally agree! he was voted in by a large proportion of young people who have no understanding on the events of the last true left wing labour government!

Until 2013 that would have meant losing my Dutch citizenship (the Netherlands didn't acknowledge dual citizenship). The way things have panned out I'm kind of glad I retained it, and thus my EU citizenship status. :)

Hannan has taken leave from Twitter, claiming it's been a hectic few months, and the rest have suddenly also become very shy.

As for a plan, apparently Leave don't have one - according to them, no10 should have had a plan, not them.

So you think it's perfectly okay that someone is making decisions about a future they're not going to be in?

Why don't we vote in an 80 year old PM? They'll have the best interests of future generations in mind for sure!
