    Personally i would disagree but as the ASA is *no longer a watchdog over some aspects of political advertising we'll just have to leave it at personal opinions. :)

    *only found out this morning that up until 1997 the ASA did have remit over some aspects...

    Today we learned:

    • David Davies admitted it was possible that the UK could leave the EU without a trade deal, defaulting to WTO rules (let's see how long it takes him to realise that the UK has no tariff schedule to make trading under the WTO possible);
    • There will definitely be no extra £350 million --or £anything-- for the NHS;
    • His previous comment that workers’ rights will be protected after the UK leaves the EU was actually just a “personal view”.

    Welcome to Project Reality!

    The uk received less back from the EU than it gave, so should there at least be a few extra quid knocking about once you skedadle?

    ^^^ Yeah, it's kinda like that. :p

    Nopedy nope nope. It's already said that the Foreign Office budget will have to tripple, trade negotiators will cost a bomb, there will also be a £43 billion cost to the economy to exiting the single market in the next few years. That's about two and a balf years of EU membership fees, right there.

    Is that 43 billion per year or a one off total estimated cost?

    It's just for the next two years. Additional costs will follow.

    I'm expecting David Davis To realise soon that one does not simply default to the WTO --that if EU negotiations fail, the UK literally will have nowhere to go. That will be the point he'll start crapping himself and quite possibly bail.

    I think that useless turd Liam Fox will follow soon after. He should be sorting out Britain's tariff schedules instead of talking down the UK economy, and he is simply not up to the task.

    IDK about the cost to the economy but the department for leaving the EU has already spent quarter of a million in the two months since the Brexit vote, at this rate any money we'll save from membership fees looks to be getting spent lining the pockets of civil servants, you know them unelected, uncountable officials we have no control over.

    EDIT: So with no ideas from government ministers on what Brexit actual means it looks like their canvasing ideas from the UK's retail bosses. :rolleyes:
    One source seems to have summed up what the governments Brexit plans are fairly well.

    He could just say Farage endorsed violence, honestly IDK how he's got away with not being arrested under the terrorism act, the sort of inflammatory language he uses seems to fit the definition of terrorism, he calls the European Union's new Brexit negotiator a "dangerous fanatic" but the only dangerous fanatic i can see is Mr Farage himself.

    Have you noticed how the most vocal (on all sides) who can't tolerate others are the first to cry "free speech" whenever their own views aren't tolerated?

    It's so transparent yet people continue to fall for it. The Hate Game will never be short of willing participants. :sigh:

    While I agree that he will realise it I'm not sure it will be soon, I'm expecting the general timetable to look something more like this:

    They'll try to build up an idea of what they even want over the next couple years, then trigger article 50 in the run up to the general election (just for the we didn't ignore the voting public brownie points), leaving the two year negotiation with the EU to the next government which will fall on its nose horribly, then following an unscheduled election yet another government will then start negotiations with the WTO.
    Then by around 2030 or so they'll wake up and realize that neighbouring countries are usually very important trading partners and start asking for the same deal Norway has and eventually in 2040 s*** will be sorted out, except since the world changes a lot in over two decades the public will be disillusioned and wonder why they even bothered to care about the referendum.

    Can't say i have, personally i believe people are free to say what they want as long as they don't endorse violence.

    Choudary used to do it all the time (but his luck eventually ran out last week when he was sent down). There are plenty of white Choudary's too, some write for the Daily Mail. :)

    Apparently the CPS is going to review whether Farage should be done for inciting hatred.

    Here's hoping...

    He didn't create the hatred, he exploited the racism already boiling under the surface of some people to achieve his political goals.

    Luckily I've not had the displeasure of listen to the likes of him or any other "hate preachers" (i think that's what their called), Farage on the other hand tends to get plenty of media coverage. :blah:

    That applies to all the hate-speech blowhards (on both sides). That's what they do.
