If you make it in a lab, under strict control and knowing what the f*** you are doing, then test the living f*** out of it so it does nothing bad to humans. It is a GMO and it is bad and will do something bad to you.

Randomly crossing plants... totally fine... ow wait, not fine.

Also, if you are fond of red-ruby grapefruits i have some bad news for you.. Blast plants with radiation and create millions of random genetic changes... totally natural!

edit: Also, all the fear about GMO plants replacing "natural" plants... the corn, wheat, potato, rice, etc... you eat is not natural. Mankind modified them so that they would be useful to it.

edit2: AFAIK Colony collapse is more connected to the abuse of certain kinds of pesticides.

edit3: walle, what did you have for breakfast?

I have sultana bran. Keeps me regular. Plus a couple of nespresso coffees, because I'm deeply lazy and usually still about 80% asleep until mid morning.

I like this new breakfast thread.

    Brexit means breakfast. :)

Use dark brown sugar, and sprinkle it on when the porridge is still hot. It melts. Yum!

I feel the signature character count should be increased just so I can have this as a sig.

You ain't covering yourself in glory here, y'know. In fact, I'd say you're coming across shiftier than Farage on his way out of the embassy the other day.

Why's it so difficult, huh? What did you have for breakfast?

It must be insects, that's the only thing I can think of we haven't changed a lot or maybe dirt.

S'the future of protein, that. Not dirt, obviously; insects. Low fat, high protein, and takes a fraction of the resources per pound of usable food compared to cattle. I'd quite happily sit down to a cricket burger, me.

    Will that do?

And then I'm not even talking about Russia breathing down the former satellite states' necks. Putin would love Poland to leave the EU.

But you're not reading the article you linked to. All of Poland's anger and upset is about the idea of being withheld EU funding and a 'two-speed' EU in which it is relegated to slower integration. Poland doesn't want to leave the club; it is upset at not being a more important and influential member.

Dude, you're a bright guy. You don't need me to point the obvious out to you, surely.

Regarding Wilders, that must be why his party has been dropping like a brick in the polls recently (I can read the Dutch papers, remember?). Something to do with studiously avoiding TV debates with his political opponents. He is losing credibility, and Trump is adding to that in spades. Turns out extreme right-wing demagogues do good sound bites but don't actually know **** all about how to run a country.

And even if he got a small majority, the other parties would just coalition him out. And in the unlikely event that he did get into government, he cannot actually Nexit, nor ban Islam. Lots of constitutional laws forbid it (and this, people, is why it's important to have a written constitution).

Like the polls for the 2015 election here , I would for on the day to be honest; but , whilst the PVV might be losing votes in the polls , given the nature of Dutch politics , I can see another election later this year as the VVD would need to get `on board` with pretty much everyone that's not the PVV to form a government , and a coalition of 5 parties hasn't happened in about 50 years?

I figured it was funny because a lot :)worried:) of people who voted for brexit did so at least partially because of concerns regarding freedom of movement from Poland due to their membership of the EU. It would be ironic if they followed us out. Maybe we could do a trade deal with them.

To be fair if they have a referendum it could still happen despite it being massively against their best interests...
