    Makes perfect sense.

If you move your money out of the UK before brexit becomes effective then you need the UK to crash so that the same money is worth more once you bring it back.

Don't you just love it when the rules that apply to you are determined by your social class?

"Japan", isn't your comment a bit 80s? Aston Martin is owned by and assortments of investment funds and/or private equity funds from various parts of the globe. Jaguar was bought out...by an Indian car firm. Not particularly worried or see whether it matters unless your are an economic nationalist

I worked for a few investment banks and the workforce was pretty diverse socially and very, very international.

Giving them better rules than others would make them a superior social class by law.

Davies should be tried for treason for even suggesting it.

There's noting in the FT article that suggests that it is limited to banks
It's just that of inter-office moves of this sort, financial firms will account for a lot of them.

And no-one has be tried for treason here for over seventy years. This isn't Spain :thumb:

David Davis said 'putting politics above prosperity is never a smart choice.'

    With a straight face.

    Without a shred of irony.

    David ****ing Davis.

    German reaction:

He also insisted that the decision to leave the single market and customs union was not an “ideological” one and that the UK had decided to quit the economic bloc out of respect for the indivisibility of the EU’s four freedoms.

David Davis: There's no reason why we can't continue to work together.

German Reporter: Then why are you leaving?

I'm surprised he managed to keep a straight face, i mean this comes from an MP whose a member of a party who put political self gain over the best interests of the nation, the only reason they called a referendum was because they'd been putting politics above prosperity for 40 odd years and it was threatening to tear them apart.
