Dominic "****-Britain-is-an-island!" Raab is too thick to understand the details of UK law. But what is much more obvious is: what does he think would happen next?

Parliament would not be amused at all if it was prorogued to force through a no-deal Brexit. So as soon as it reassembles for the next session, it would initiate a vote of no confidence in the PM. It would take government down and force a general election. Raab would serve the shortest term as PM in history.

And even if by some miracle the did Tories get back in, he would get zero cooperation from most of his own MPs from then on. They would make his term hell and do everything they could to effect his downfall. He is a power-mad idiot.

 

Trouble is they would get their Brexit, so as far as the loons are concerned they win.

 

The UK Supreme Court would take the dimmest of dim views against any PM dumb enough to have done it that way when there is an inevitable legal challenge over it.

 

Raab doesn't care about that; he cares about being PM. He sees enacting Brexit just as the means to that end. But if the way he enacts it effectively destroys his PM-ship, it is of no use to him.

Indeed; same principle applies. The only difference between BoJo and Raab is: BoJo wants adulation; Raab wants power.

 

The only tory contender not to have come out as using drugs appears to be BoJo at the moment. That"s surprising.

Queen's Speech voted down by a margin of well over 600
Early GE and myriad of lawsuits giving him a good battering in the Courts as well.
The total annihilation of the government in the political and legal sense would likely lead to scenes in the street that civilized countries are not familiar with.

Basically he wouldn't have a sh*thole or the authority to govern it, which again raises the question... why are numpties promoting such "options" not being challenged more? (no, me ranting about it on the internet doesn't really count as challenging him)

 

I think that's what has irked many, not that they did it... but in their political careers they've advocaed for pretty hard punishments for others caught doing it...

I suspect no drug can compete with the high of his own ego. But that doesn't mean BoJo didn't do drugs --he strikes me as the kind of guy who'd snort coke through a £50 note off the tits of some drunk escort.* He would never admit it.

Leadsom is just jumping on the bandwagon. It's expected now. I mean, does she look like a woman who ever smoked weed?

In his defence: What else was he supposed to do while waiting for the servant to reload that newfangled flintlock pistol so he could continue hunting the poor for sport?

 

With her dour, joyless expression that sucks the life force out of your body through the eyeballs, I imagine that her weed would have to smoke weed after an encounter with her.
