This really isn't a problem in the UK.

If they really wanted to address issues with our voting system then they'd start with the archaic and adversarial first-past-the-post system and move closer to a system of true proportional representation. But that won't happen because it would almost certainly mean the end of two-party politics in this country.

NB: The voting system proposed for the 2011 referendum, the Alternative Vote, is not proportional representation. It was also not a simple system and difficult for Joe Public to wrap their head around.

Apparently the DUP's getting more money. Like, a lot more money.

At least after all this there'll be even fewer people who believing the EU are being obstructionist and trying to stop Brexit by not giving us what we want, they've agreed on three different types of Brexit now, their original one, May's revised deal, and now Boris' deal.

I'm still hoping you're wrong, not least because I've not got another country to bolt to with my pension.

Fun fact, this was one of the things the ERG, specifically Rees-Mogg pushed through to stop Maybot from putting forth deal exactly like the one de Pfeffel is trying to.

    Meanwhile, in Eurosceptic Italy...

2014: The League ran at the European elections under the slogan “No Euro” and it presented prominent anti-euro campaigners among its candidates for May’s EU ballot, when it won 34% of the vote to become Italy’s largest party.

2019: League leader Matteo Salvini said on Monday the euro was here to stay and he hoped that nobody in his far-right, eurosceptic party would ever again raise doubts over Italy’s membership of the single currency.

So throwing NI under the bus (Boris likes buses) was the price for dropping the backstop.

    Bye, Bye NI. :(

    DUP: NO SURRENDER
    Boris: No... Surrender...
    DUP: NO SURRENDER
    Boris: No... Surrender...
