Also every living former PM is against it... even spameron... and spameron doesn't have anything resembling a spine or coherent opinion on anything.

To be perfectly honest though, this thread is an echo chamber. There is no dissenting opinion or debate any more, and it is the same few people posting regularly.

The problem is.... after over four years, no one has yet presented a case for leaving the EU that has stood up to scrutiny. We've done this all before and we've said it all before. So to someone who hasn't been following everything since day 1, or hasn't followed Brexit news, then it is going to reek of echo chamber in here.

To be clear: echo chambers aren't inherently a bad thing, they are a great opportunity for like-minded people to connect. But it's very easy to fall into tribal group-think and shun the 'other'.

I'm sorry, but I'm going to have to disagree with you here.

Often when people complain of echo chambers, it being an echo chamber isn't what they take issue with. Their issue is it's not echoing what they think, if it was they wouldn't have a problem with it.

Likewise bias, they're fine with bias, as long as your biases align with theirs.

To be fair, although I couldn't resist the temptation to post that, I do actually mean it to a certain extent. Saying that this thread is an echo chamber because there's no dissenting opinion is manifestly false, as evidenced by the last 24 hours :D Of course, when the holders of said dissenting opinions run away crying about echo chambers then it's something of a self-fulfilling prophecy, isn't it?

True, dat. SD forum has some fierce debate. Which comes with being challenged, and having to present good argument.

To be fair, Ed was always pretty good at PMQs back in the day. And that was against Cameron who is infinitely slicker than Boris ever could be.

Ed's problem was he didn't eat a bacon sandwich photogenically and [at the time] was seen as the wrong Miliband.

You know what? I had a whole essay written out here, and then @Gareth Halfacree posted this....

...and now I just want to go to bed, I don't have the energy for SD this evening! :)

Bojo in PMQ's isn't getting destroyed, he just isn't taking part. He's doing the Trump thing of sitting there pulling stupid faces because he knows he desn't have to do anything and his legion of yes men will get whatever he wants through.

It was fun watching him suffer against Starmer, but now he's figured out that it doesn't actually matter it's getting quite sad to watch.

Don't despair just yet... there are rumours of amendments coming to the bill next week, so Boris might end up travelling the same road as May and deploy the three line whip against his own legislation.

No matter what one thinks about Brexit, this is just turning into more and more of a mess now.

I would love to know what year the people who voted in favour of that bill think it is.

I suspect they think it's still prime time for the British Empire..
