CPU e6600 2.67ghz?

    Got an E6600retai boxed (2nd hand) - I thought E6600's were 2.4ghz as standard but Intels label says E6600 2.67ghz ? Will be pleased if its faster but seems is the E6700 that runs at 2.67ghz . probably a labelling error but we shall see.

    Anyone seen this before?

    Nope, but you're correct, the e6700 is the 2.67 model. Check for the x10 multiplier - makes overclocking just that little bit easier on the brain :)

    Overclocking Wassat? :) Unfortunately its a Dell and nae overclocking allowed - pity as the E6300 in there probably do 3 gighz.
