What did they think was going to happen when they did this. As far as I can see this was just a stunt to get news coverage.

I'm sure the marketing team responsible will be very happy to do so once the fat bonus cheque has cleared.

Bargain? 18K will get you a 30 sec ad' on ITV2 reapeated daily for a week 'non primetime'....

It's bubbly, drugs and hoes all round the Ad Agency after that....

Taking it to the next level I hear that for Far Cry 2 trendy ad types will be handing out free flame throwers in hyde park... check it on facebook

You have to appreciate the genius behind the stunt.

Probably the cheapest coverage in recent years.

If the gas was 50% off and wasn't part of a promo the streets would of been packed.

"He who controls the spice (read fuel), controls the universe"

You can see how desperate our European part of the fuel consuming population is. If it actual was Venezuela pricing (about 12 dollar cents a gallon) there would be a waiting line from London to Glasgow. I pay 1,59 euro for a liter E95 fuel, including 80 eurocent tax. If i would live next to the border of Germany or Belgium I would buy my gasoline over there.

for the free petrol. i'd be willing to drive there from Southampton, a day trip in London, get the game (not all that bad, from the trailers) and a tank full of petrol.

They should have stuck vouchers for £40 of petrol in random Merc 2 cases, the games would have flown off the shelves.

Agreed, I'd buy it, £40 of fuel lasts me about a month, the way I drive.
