    Police won't do a great pile and its a civil matter, that or they say call trading standards who won't do anything either.

    They will still give a crime reference number, as obtaining someone else's post is an offence!

    I am currently locked in a dispute with a fool who bought a working CPU from me almost sixty days ago and has 'had it tested and found it to be faulty' some two months after he signed for it. When challenged about it, he has 'only just got the other parts he needed to test it'.

    I told him in no uncertain terms that I would not accept a refund from him owing to the time passed (and the expiry of my fourteen-day DOA refund policy).

    He's apparently going to take it up with eBay. Let's see where that ends up...

    He had 45 days, he's over that time. Should be cut and dry in your favour Sam.
