And the buyer almost always wins.. even if it's VERY obvious it's a scam.

    Hey,

Im a new member and this is my first Post :)

As far as my exp goes with eBay and PayPal, there is no reason to worry and I believe PayPal's the safest! If however you have certain doubts you should keep the invoice of the product you are sending and the tracking number and all should go smooth. Yeah paypal does 'freeze' the money but if you are genuinely sending the product then it is no problem.

Just make a note of this in your auction, when people bid they've then agreed to it, so if you say for example 'to protect myself from rampant scammery, all monies paid to me through paypal shall be immediately transferred to my bank account, and only when cleared will your item be shipped, this can take upto an aditional five day from your payment date, and by bidding on this auction you hereby agree to these terms' or something like that. It's all you can do really, although most scams on ebay are incredibly easy to spot, never been caught out myself but have had many people supposedly registered in the UK paying me then asking me to send it to their nephew in nigeria/russia for their 18th birthday (yeah right!). If that happens it's just a case of refund, bad feedback, relist (yeah it can take time but it's better than being ripped off) you normally find these people immediately close their ebay accounts once found out and re-register, bloody menaces! Normally they're not stupid enough to rebid on your item though lol, although I did get that on a laptop once, had to relist 4 times before I got a legit buyer, but that was extreme.
