There are already sellers that run quite extensive and profitable "eBay shops", being able to call these and talk to a real person would certainly be appealing to the more tehcno skeptical.

    yea, i think its for use with their current setup as mentioned above. Emails can take along time to answer and can be lost in a world of spam, offering a person to person coversation is a great way to re-assure buyers and bring diversity to ebay. We've seen them only recently add a proper pm system - sykp this is the next step perhaps?
