[Rage] I ordered some new PC parts yesterday to begin my upgrade as some of you may know is long overdue. I decided, after a very long time shopping around to use ebuyer and set my weekend up to work round a Saturday delivery. I ordered my parts at about 11am so they had plenty of time to pick the parts and ship them to my local depot (which is about 1hr from the ebuyer warehouse). I got my email confirming that they had been picked and that it was waiting to be collected and I kept upto date with the order (a lot of money's worth of kit has to be tracked!) using the tracking on ebuyer until I saw te message "On route to delivery depot" didn't think anything of it, noted down my order number for Citylink, then tracked it on their site... About 8pm last night I saw that the people at Citylink had my order in their posession and thought it must be running on time as there were no notes or anything else showing otherwise. I was informed by the tracking site that my order would be here between 7:30-12:00 so I planned my day around that and moved my plumbing work around accordingly and got up as usual at 6am this morning. I spent most of the day just chilling out doing a few bits around the house and updating some invoices until 12 o'clock came and went. I still hadn't recieved any parcels so I left it for 30mins to allow for traffic and other deliveries (I always check my orders when the driver is there to make sure so I assume others do too) At 12:45 I called Citylink and asked them what was going on and if they had any news for me, I got a rude, arrogant guy who wasn't interested in what my problem was and when I asked him if he would be able to see if the order had been dispatched, he raised his voice and told me it wasn't possible and that I should wait until Monday to contact ebuyer (they don't open at the weekends) I was pretty pissed at hearing him speak to me like this so I just put the phone down and called them back hoping to get someone else instead. I got through to a girl who seemed to know what she was doing but when I asked her where my parcel was, she said that they didn't have it. I told her that I read their tracking site and guessing that it would be the last thing to be updated, then it must mean they have my purchases. She then told me that it wasn't her fault and that she can't do anything about it and that it's ebuyers fault for not dispatching it earlier... After I told her the times that I ordered everything and the times that I had recieved notifications, she told me that I must be wrong and that "nothing will be done until the drivers are ready" I told the woman I was going to complain about her and her colleague but she just giggled and said "ok" then preceded to tell me the times the customer service and complaints department were open. I then called ebuyer and found out they aren't open at the weekends and decided to call back Monday to then only realise that its bank holiday and they don't open then either. I wouldn't normally mind a bit of a delay but when I have paid an extra £8-something for a special delivery, it really annoys me when I don't recieve it. Quite simply, if ebuyer don't sort something out, I won't be using them again and I will be complaining until I get a refund for the services I paid for. [/Rage]
I doubt it was ebuyer's fault. Well, their main fault is using the piss poor delivery company shitty link. But I bet Shitty link do have your parcel, and they can't be bothered to look for it.
Yeah, I used ebuyer before and they used UPS that time. It was great service so I don't understand why they would use someone as unreliable as Citylink. As far as I'm concerned, Citylink will pay for my delivery and I will specifiy in my order to never use them again. Complaint letter ready for next week I think.
Whereabouts in lincolnshire do you live? The reason i ask is i live in sleaford, which means my orders that get delivered by citylink come from the grantham depot and ive never had any issues at all, nor been spoken to like that. It has been a while since i had a delivery from them though!
Im in Grantham mate, I was on the net and according to its tracking site, my local depot is Lincoln. I called them up but I just got some shitty answer machine. I called the customer service up earlier so it's most probably not going to be the same because according to the internet, each depot is actually a franchise.
Hopefully I will be able to get in touch with him and suggest him not using Citylink anymore haha! Dan
I highly, highly doubt it is ebuyer's fault. Ring them up on monday and they will refund your postage charge. I had a delivery that was supposed to be next day turn up after 2 days with parcelforce, and the customer service lady didn't even hesitate or kick up a fuss at all. Shitty link are shitty link - everyone knows it. Such a pain when it doesn't turn up though - I know how you feel!
Yeah I didn't think it would be, Ive never had a problem with them before, like you say, it's Citylink. Its just a shame Ebuyer use such a crap company, it will soon begin to reflect bad on them. I will be calling them up on Monday. Haha, so it isn't I seemed to be getting ahead of myself on the calendar! /facepalm
Whatever, just phone ebuyer and tell them you want a refund on your shipping for very poor service. Simple as that.
What? I ordered before 12 delivery from novatech way back when, and it arrived at like 5, so I demanded the difference returned to me, something like £10.
5 hours is a bit different to 4 days whichever way you look at it. Especially when the courier has lied one way or the other (internet update and over the phone) so rant is justified. The point is they weren't honest. Dan
Eh. Couriers issue, not Ebuyers. I ordered on thursday night at 19:44, and got my stuff before ten AM the next day. Ebuyer do their damnedest to see things delivered when they say they will. Their next day service is usually Parcel Force, though. At least, for orders after close of business on a working day.
Yeah, I just think its a real shame that ebuyer let these moronic goof-monkeys damage their reliable reputation. Ive used ebuyer loads over the past 4 years and never had an issue but it has always been UPS delivering, never had Citylink before. Dan
