Do people not remember what buying online used to be like, scan and OCUK used to be absolutely terrible for CS and getting iffy parts and wrong orders:)

Bit of a bummer but tbh the refurb board should be more or less new, an ex display (cust return!) could theoretically be in much worse condition.

That said lack of retail box would knock its resale value down a bit and 160 for a 2011 board is strong money, OCUK were selling lots of X99 refurbs for Sub £100 a while back.

Haven't used ebuyer in years but can agree on Yodel. My delivery spent more time in their depot than it took to arrive from the US. Their telephone numbers lead to automated responses, couldn't speak to an actual person. Their webchat support was occupied all day and only managed to speak to them after 7pm. I spent the next day at home but they still left my delivery, few hundred £ worth of electronics, in the wheelie bin on top of the trash. Was gonna leave a bad review too but it would've only amounted to a drop in the ocean of 1star reviews. Super

I remember OcUK going through a properly rough patch a few years back, but to be fair to them they turned it around. Now half the stuff I buy is from their b-grade/clearance section, it sometimes comes in a plain box with no accessories (like my £389 GTX 1080 did), other times it's obviously brand new just a open-box/customer return (like the £299 Predator XB271H that came in it's full retail box and still had all the protective film on it).

Only fault I have with OcUK is the steep delivery costs, but even then they at least use DPD who are reliable as clock work (around here, at least).

Scan have always been pretty good to me, and I get free postage, but they just never seem to have what I want, when I want it...

Scan's main failing is their god-awful stock control system. If I need something urgently, I go elsewhere as I've been burned once too often by ordering an "in-stock" item for next-day delivery only to receive an email at 8.30pm advising that it's actually out of stock. By that time it's too late to go elsewhere.

Yep, I don't know who they have running the warehouse and doing the orders, but they need a kick up the backside - I think half the website currently reads "Pre-Order"...
