    Just what you saw, I go to install the USB dongle 3G modem, the install goes fine. I then try to run the program, whereby it opens, and just has the message, no service, swiftly followed by ;

    'No default device is assigned. Connection is not possible. Would you like to configure default devices'. In a nut shel, check your device manager and then go feck urself, because ZTE CDMA Technologies MSM modem is not recognised, and there are no drivers for windows 7. Unreal eh, I'm now using my old pc, and will have to do just that whenever I want to use the internet. No windows update, no nothing.

    Any ideas?:waah:

    Is this a ZTE 627 dongle?

    If so, try this. There's also this for unlocking the dongle and using a different connection manager (Telstra) - it's what I did and it works fine. Could be useful, too.
