Not sure if I'd enjoy X: Rebirth in VR, I'd imagine that features like the space highways would cause a fair bit of nausea.

Looking forward to more news about X4 though, fingers-crossed that it'll have a decent blend features from X: Rebirth and X3: Albion Prelude. If we could simply merge those two games in the series, I'd be more than happy to spend most of my free time playing that game.

I think I stopped playing the franchise at the second. The original X: Beyond the Frontier was always my favourite - especially for the tongue-in-cheek title which suggested it was better than Frontier: Elite II.

I don't think I ever got around to playing the first one, one day I'll have to grab a copy and play through it.

    EXACTLY my thoughts.

All we really wanted from X Rebirth in the first place was a more polished version of those that came before - iron out the bugs, make it look a little jazzier etc.

One thing I would like to see tried is the use of the X3 engine to make an MMO. It looks nice even today and the combat's okay, and it's easy to run. That means only the net code would have to be developed, so we could see if huge player numbers could actually work.

I was never to sure about X rebirth or what game it wanted to be. There was never a clear goal the highways ware a joke .But still good hear that they are still putting the time in too improve the games even the old x TC and x AP . I have just started fresh game of AP a few days ago and so enjoying it

And when X4 comes out I will have a look at that too..

I can sympathise entirely with this. Wish I was smart enough to follow suite, but I'm an optimist (occasionally).
