    I have some other generic one, they work okay.

    Can't you use the smart meter and see how much electricity use change when turning on/off the thing? I very rarely use it now because it's such a hassle plugging it in and trying to read it.

    I suppose the only point I can give is to get one with good viewing angle on the display. Considering the price of those, perhaps consider getting a smart plug that also do consumption reading?

    We don't have a smart meter.

    I do have a couple of Amazon smart plugs but they don't do consumption do they?

    Hmm interesting, cheaper and more convenient.

    Just checked on the Alexa App and my stuff doesn't seem to have the function.
