Can anyone tell me what the difference is between a case totally covered with metal and a case with a window on top and at one side considering the strength of the electromagnetic emissions?

    Thanks in advance :D

Yes, cases do give out electromagnetic radiation(EM), to determine how much is let out you would have to stick your case in a special room where the EM can be correctly measured. Manufacturers of cases 'supposedly' do this but they can only test so far.

Sticking a clear panel on the side will probably make little difference at all....

If ppl are worried about EM, then no-one would use a mobile phone.

Also, each individual component of the pc, i.e. mobo, power supply etc are supposed to meet EM guidelines, i.e they should not effect other electrical equipment (and such like), but whether they do or not, again, you would have to stick your equipment into a very expensive sealed room to measure it.....used to have access to one...but not anymore.....

    That's what I hoped :) Thank you.

Btw.: What is a Dremel? :D I just saw the rating I got for being a newbie to this board and I really don't know what a Dremel is hence my bad english. Is it something like a drill or file?

    Bwuah!

EM Is a wacky thing the FCC slowly don't care about as much as they used to. Well unless you make it disturb your neighborhood's televisions and their computers. Fun!

I shall answer this, a dremel is a magic cutting wand!
    YAY!

Dremels are multi-tools. Basically it's a small and pretty powerful powertool, onto which you attach cutting discs, grinding blocks, buffing tools etc

They're the modding tool of choice :)
