Ok, so i start college tomorrow and theres an opportunity for me to do an evening class in 'Embedded Control Workshop'. Its one evening a week, for 15 weeks. As i'm still in full-time education i don't have to pay £83 to do the course. As i'm an electronic illiterate do you think this course would be worthwhile doing? If anyone has done a course like this, did you find it useful? Or did it cover totally irrelevent stuff?
What would be covered: Basic Electronics Systems Theory Introduction to PIC and AVR Microcontrollers Instruction Sets and Assembly Language Programming Project work on AVR's Introduction to Embedded C (IAR Embedded Workbench) Analogue and Digital Systems Circuit Simulation ECAD Introduction to Microcontrollers. Bearing in mind this is going to be free. Is it worth doing?
Do it. I've been looking around and it's difficult to find an electronics course after you leave full time education.
Well this particular course is being run be the local college (also the one i attend full-time) and its open to everyone over the age of 16. So, check with your local college. They may also do stuff like this.
as long as yuo have taken basic algerbra and didnt have a problemthe coarse should be more of a study and work coarse instead of a think till your brain explodes one i think and should be a good experiance .
