It seems more and more companies, organisations, associations, artists etc are starting to realise that traditional distribution channels for media no longer work. They also seem to be realising that DRM isn't all that it's cracked up to be and all it does is alienate off law abiding consumers rather than prevent piracy. Maybe we're starting to reach the turning point in this battle? To be honest I can't see what's so difficult about selling DVDs or music for a reasonable cost and letting consumers use their purchase how they see fit. And getting rid of bloody unskippable chapters on DVDs wouldn't go amiss, nothing makes me want to rip a DVD faster than being made to watch trailers and studio logos that I can't skip through; those and the annoying segment they seem to have started adding to the end of UK DVDs that tells us how evil piracy is and how it funds terrorism and god knows what else.
