Windows email 1 program to rule them all

ok i need a program that can do my gmail account and adelphia pop3 email account willimg to spend a little money and i want these email to be stored on harddrive for offline reading and such
sorry it is a lot to ask but i just got x40 yesterday and i want to perfect it soon so no extra programs than needed are on

Mozilla Thunderbird should be able to handle that for you, but then so will Outlook and Outlook Express.
Thunderbird is completely free, Outlook Express is packaged with Windows and Outlook is part of MS office.
Netscape mail is another alternative, but it's a bit of a pig, just like Outlook. I've used all of these and just settled on Thunderbird. It loads quickly and has just the right features for me. Junk filter, blocks remote images, themes, and extensions.
Outlook has more options, if that's what you want, but you can't really tweak its' appearance or functionality.

 

yeah but can i get gmail on outlook or thunderbird and still beable to read them ofline like with my pop3 mail

there are some 3rd party thingers that'll let you use gmail through a regular mail app

how it works is just looking at the gmail html, and starting a pop3d on your machine that you connect to and get you gmail through that

download and install freepops

your incomming setting is then "your email address with the @" also it'll be port 2000 not port 110..

sry it don't do out going mail
