Hi I have recently tried to give my mum an email account at my dad's office using their software, Mdaemon. They have up to 10 licences and they have 5 (plus my mum's = 6). I have copied all the options that I could find to make it identical to to the other email accounts that work but I am having a problem:
(note @x123.com isn't actually their email suffix)
Sue is my mum, Jules is my dad.

The email sue@x123.com cannot receive external mail (tested from gmail and hotmail).
The email jules@x123.com can receive external mail.
The email sue@x123.com can receive internal mail (e.g. from jules@x123.com)
The email sue@x123.com can send internal and external mail.

    Software:

    client:
    XP 32 bit
    outlook 2003
    Outlook Connector 2.2 (Mdaemon)

    Server:
    Windows Server 2000
    Mdaemon 10.0

    Thank you in advanced.

    Ed

I don't know if you have the same problem, this worked for the son-in-law who couldn't send mail through his ISP showing his new domain as the return address. The problem was Outlook; you have to fool it.

ok thanks, I haven't done this yet, but I wonder if this is to make the email send - however with my config I can send mail but not receive any (externally).
