Just a tiny update this time, weather was so nice i decided to enjoy it for once. More to come tomorrow ^^
Some more details to the right arm and left thigh added, started working a little on the hair Will be heading to local hardwareshop to see if i can pick up a sheet of black aluminium today for quistis engraving..
Thanks skreenname, I know i have missed some borders but most have been forgiving ^^, More filling done
Hey, havent had time to do much mostly because of work and less free time when working nights, gonna see how much i can get done today. Im actually not sure right now, tho experience tells me im leaving this as is i think, to much can go wrong very easily when doing the face, might fill it in a little but take that with a ton of salt..
Update time! Finished most of the finished her left leg, and about 90% done on the right one soon il start filling in her breastplate if you know what i mean
Looking better than ever! What are you intent on doing for those empty spaces ( Ankle, Crotch, Knee)?
Never ever use a bit that cuts when working with a painted chassi, since it cuts out chunks your closer to blinding yourself with those bits because of the shrapnel. I use the diamondcoated bits for engraving, (7134 and a few other models not listed) because you want to grind away the paint and steel/aluminium, you loose less material then doing it with a bit that cuts so you can control the depth better. Also when engraving i try to refrain from using any type of glasses/ headger because of the plastics ability to skrew with the vision in some angles.
Exciting stuff! How much would you say your entire engraving kit has cost you? (a cheeky ask for maybe a link to any guides you know of xD)
Well the entire engravingkit i´d land at about 90-100£ or if your in the us about 140-150$ The kit itself is actually unintressting as all you need to think about having is really a dremel + the flexible extension, and then the bits themselves so you could probably get away with only paying 60-70 £ Regarding guides, i havent really used any specifically, but you should check out the guide bit-tech posted by a swedish modder called Wolverine. But other then that it´s practice and more practice, i can promise you the stuff i managed to do in the beginning was **** xD (hopefully i´ll never have to post it xD) I´ve been looking alittle at airbrushing, so i´m picking up a set tomorrow pretty from a local hardwarestore, the paintgun goes for 40£ and im picking up a compressor aswell for 70£ and then im gonna start practicing alittle on some old casesides i have !
Sorry about the long lack of updates, i´ve been very busy the past 2 weeks, tho come tuesday il be updating again!
