    Whats awesome? Live updates?

Heres whats going on right now.

Not only is the water running through every 10mm panel in the case but I have also thrown $350 into the loop with this limited edition pure silver ingot from the Singapore mint. Ironically it was made with gold sourced from Perth, Australia and even more ironic is the $10 value stamped on it.

Given to me in the year of the rabbit 12 years ago, 12 years later it resurfaces for 2011 (the year of the rabbit). It was living life encased in glass but it will continue its existence as a biocide for my loop!

Underneath that black cover will be a crazy SSD. I havent decided what brand to go with yet though...

The PSU sits on that area that has the black block. Even though you won't see my handy work in that area, its still a nice touch and I have a CNC so why not.

    More updates soon.

    Supreme!

With that cutting speed, how long until you can start putting the case together?

    The drain port :)

There are plenty of design elements that havent been put on yet and I am not even where most modders start modding. In that respect, I have a long way to go yet!

And yet you're much much further than most modders will ever go.

Ah its up to debate really. I get slammed by quite a few modders on these forums because they don't see having a CNC as "pure" modding. I remember early on X series I had a small few who strongly believed there was no skill in what I was doing :)

I think modding is evolving and if you have the tools at your disposal then why not use them. I do look up to the modders like atticus who create stunning creations by hand and its a shame I will never be like that.

Ah Editor nice to see you here, such a small world on these forums haha :)

Time for another update and since I have put the frame together I will be concentrating on the perfecting the smaller aspects of the case build. Today the spotlight is on the radiator arrangement and I sure hope these NB fans have high static pressure because this radiator will be cooling a 6990, NB, SB, CPU and RAM :)

Once again, a huge thanks to Gregor at EKWB for all the goodies. The radiator is absolutely mint!

There's a lot to be said for quality designing & this is outstanding design work :thumb:, It's just simply a different category of modding to be honest, DIY hand tools vs power tools vs machines vs CNC or a good mix of all or most & I totally agree if you have the ability to go CNC then why the heck not :), main reason I'm keeping in the dark ages is because it'd really bump the cost & it'd be over too soon, guess I must just like the struggle :hehe:.

    Back on topic :D.

Nice addition of the silver coin or ingot? & nicer still with the 12 year rabbit thing :) & holy shiz $350 :hehe:, this is the fastest coming together complex awesome case I ever seen unfold at lightening speed, looking uber sweet so far Daniel san :D:rock:.

Thanks Nutman, its good to see that you are a constant presence in this thread haha :)

I have been working on another project design today but that didnt stop me from getting some cuts in whilst I did it.

    Here's the latest!

So no points for guessing what these are.

If you remember my initial design, my legs looked like this.

However, over time this design stopped looking appealing and I decided to do the single most expensive thing I've done in a while.

Yup, I burned through two sheets of acrylic in a mere 15 minutes...

I think you can see where I am going with this.

I am pretty happy as to how it turned out :)

That`s a lot of acrylic stuff. I like the design of the different plates.

Dude, great job with the change in case feet design! This really seems to fit your theme much better, and ties into the front panel very nicely! :thumb:

Your acrylic work is outstanding. I don't see any problem with the way you use your CNC. You put a lot of time into planning how you are building your cases and into their designs. I would say that when you spend the time to design cases from the ground up that it takes a whole lot more skill than just putting in a few LEDs and sleeving a few wires. I think many of us are just jealous.

As for the feet, maybe its just me, but I personally think that the feet draw too much attention away from the case itself, especially with the way they are flared out. When I look at the case, my eyes are drawn to the case feet, not the case itself.

I some what agree with voigts about the feet drawing attention away from the main case but then I realize that the feet are a continuation of the pattern from the case and I think holy sh*t, this is awesome.

The feet may appear dominant now but the rest of the case is still far from being finished so I will leave my judgment until the end. Once you get the water channels up and running I think the feet wont be the only thing immediately drawing the eye.

Thanks for the comments and constructive criticism guys. I think the case feet have become somewhat overbearing on the design but then again, the rest of the case will have its own eye catching spectacles.

The front panel will have those engraved bits lit red, the window will show all the internals including the entire backpanel watercooling and a fully watercooled Rampage Gene.

I am determined not to make this case a Honda Civic hatchback with a rediculously useless back wing diffuser, all parts of this case should compliment the look and add function to form :) I'm sure that this case will certainly not be one to fall over in the wind.
