I have been reading the log for a while and have been constantly impressed.

You attention to detail has given me a number of ideas that I plan to incorporate into a Mod at some point (hopefully very soon)

    :waah:

I do not like SATA sleeved.

if you want to change sata cable color, better paint it.

There is more greatness in this build than just cnc.

This build couldn't be done the way it is without the CNC, but the CNC only does what it is programmed to do. There is a lot of thought and creativity going into this build.

Yeah its oddly assumed that the CNC does all the work but really one has to design, toolpath, operate, assemble and hope that the final product lives up to its billing!

    Update time!

Im a net addict and having this much downtime on the computer is really killing me, I traveled to my brothers place to surf the net, sad sad life.

Much has happened since I have been gone, I got enough material here for a few updates but I guess I'll just splurge it all at once and hopefully you guys can keep this thread alive whilst I continue the install.

I showered my PC, gave it a good clean!

I have a history of having a shower with my pc :p , this is me showering with my old build.

I cleaned it down with a bit of isopropyl and a lint free cloth....my glasses cloth actually. After meticulously getting inside the edges and side panels, I decided to do a test fit. Nice and shiny :)

I removed all the stock cooling and started getting my bitspower on. That "bridge" shot between the mosfet and NB actually has two compression fittings and three 90 degree turn bits. thats over $60.00 worth of bits on that small part alone. Its actually XSPC's fault for the extra 90 degree bit as they made a rediculously large mounting plate for the Delta CPU block (its also my fault for buying it all those years ago but we don't talk about that anymore...).

Mounted the bottom radiator and managed to squish the fans, filters, rad plate and radiator onto a single huge m4 bolt.

Creating the rad plates took alot of time. Multiple passes were needed to make sure the material didnt vibrate whilst doing the grills.

On second thoughts, I should have made the computer like this, taller rather than longer. I'm not having height issues but I know alot of people would rather a front mounted triple radiator setup.

Anyhow, I expect to be offline for a while, at least until the leak testing is done. I am going to plug my spare 450w corsair unit into the computer as I stuffed up the PSU wiring, the heatshrink is too close to the end of the wire so it wont fit back into the ATX connector. Noob mistake I know but seriously, never sleeved before so I am litterally ripping my hair out over this. I have to trim and re heatshrink every single wire and to be honest, not sure if I have enough heatshrink.

The main part now is getting the water running and putting my comp back online. I really want to see some NB and SB temperatures! The maximus SE "fusion" block was absymal really, it wasnt even copper so I'm pretty sure I will see immediate improvements.

My list of stuff to do isn't extensive, its just time consuming.

    PSU rewiring
    CPU 8 pin sleeving
    Lighting
    Cable management

Build a lightbox ** - I really want to build my own lightbox, one that is big enough for the case. There seems to be quite a few guides on how to do it and im actually quite confused as to which one I will pursue. Any tips would be great!

Lamptrons Goodies have arrived by the way. I will do a post about it once I get my computer online!!!!

i'd recommend getting some Novus polish. It makes the acrylic not attract dust so easily.

your whole case looks really excellent so far!!

I have just read through the entire thread Daniel and I must say that this mod has awesomeness in epic proportions, like how I through that pun in there lol. Your skills with your mill is remarkable as is your design skills, a very very well designed and executed build so far. I can't wait to see how everything turns out.

One thing, would you be interested in making those water blocks for sale? I am looking into blocks for my new build and would love to keep the cash within Australia.

Once again, awesome work so far.
