Like I said in the other thread, I paid to see in the cinema and I will no doubt buy the DVD, have the others on Video (will upgrade to DVD sometime), but I may also make use of my net conection for another watch before the dvd is released.

I saw it in the cinema, despite my doubts after watching 1 and 2. Seems like George pulled his finger out and did a much better job on this one. Even though I knew there was going to be back stabbing and treachery I was still :eeek: when it happened.

If I have any respect for the film makers or any real interest in seeing the film I will see it at cinema or rent DVD. Usually download older films or films I wouldn't pay to see but have a sick need to watch like Alien VS Predator. Anyone willing to watch a film with timing codes, random pop up messages about preview only, people standing up in the middle of it or black and white sections chucked in is obviously not keen enough on the film to pay to see it in the cinema.

Why is this even considered as news? It would make better reading if there was a film that hadnt been pirated, is it that shocking that some people have recorded it already and popped it on the net?

Have to agree there, it happens to most new films. What's the fuss all about

Eh, it's star wars, therefore it's news.

Personally, I'll go see it in the cinema. 10 minute drive from my house is one of only 2 cinemas in all of my state showing it in the complete high-def digital. :) Drool. ;)

apparently its inevitable leaking was delayed really well this time round. I read on a p2p news site that the previous two movies (I and II) were leaked weeks before the opening night. It’s actually quite unusual that a work print was leaked so late, considering it’s not simply a video camera recording of the screen.

I for one have my seats booked to see it tomorrow night. Full house, should have a good atmosphere.

As tempting downloading the movie AND going to the cinema to see it sounds, I think I'll just stick to seeing it how it's meant to be shown. And I will be buying the DVD when there's a 1+2+3 box set out to complete the set.

Only 5 hours to go till I'll be sitting in the cinema waiting for it to start. :D

I refuse to pay to see this in theatres. After shelling out absurd amounts of money to see lots of crappy movies over the years (including parts 1 and 2), there's no way I'm taking the risk on this one. I'll wait for the DVD.

huh? you'd rather buy/rent the dvd than see it at the cinema? Surely its worth the extra £2 to see it at the cinema, if at all?

This the kind of film only a cinema screen does justice to, Watch the first three in the cinema after watching the videos/DVD and u see what i mean, Those that download are only cheating themselfs (Yes i know 1 and 2 not upto standard of original trilogy)

Really...I can't imagine the cinema costing that much more...besides, it appears by all the reviews that lucas finally, as chunky_munky so adeptly put it, "pulled his finger out."

I think this one stands a much better shot. And if you already paid for the first two, ya might as well! :)

Well of course not, it's a work print not a cam or telesync. It's taken straight from source material. :naughty:

Again, because it's a work print. ;) They remove those before release (obviously), but it does sort of give away its origins. Not that many people can get their hands on a work print.

yeh I know that the workprint aint final :p, was more saying that even though the quality may be watchable, the fact that theres a huge counter across teh screen will ruin the film. :D
