Epox ha+ overclocking please :)

    Can somebody tell we what settings to use to overclock this mobo.

    Ive got a 1.4ghz cpu
    400watt sparkle power suppy/5 volt line is steady at 5.12
    256 ddr ram
    two 120 mm fans
    two 80 mm fans/so cooling the case is no prob

    any help will be wellcome :):confused:

    First, is the CPU multiplier unlocked? If so, try raising the multiplier x0.5 at a time. Otherwise, you could try raising the FSB slightly. When I had this board, it wouldn't go over 139 with any stability, so take it carefully. The voltage Mod was not necessary except for extreme overclocking, so the high of 1.85 should be fine for most experiments. Success depends on your chip really, and whether it can take you pushing it!:)

    Yeh m8 the cpu is unlocked,ill try like you said first time overclocking so im a bit weary of doing it but should be fun

    No probs buddy. Just remember, take it slow and make sure your cooling is well up to it!;)

    yep m8 thx cooling is well up to it ive got the Yeong yang sever case modded like koolivns,ie 2 120mm fans .

    you didnt say what CPU cooler you have ;)

    with that CPU you can get a good overclock with the multiplier alone.

    i assume youre running @ 1400 using 10.5x133?

    set the Vcore to 1.85v and try 11.5x133 (1533 mhz)

    if its stable try 12x133 (1600 mhz)

    from a tbird chip one can expect about a 200mhz overclock, so it should do 1600 easy, and a little more if you tweak the FSB a little

    Oops forgot to say what cooler,ive got the swiftech mc462 with the Mechatronics 80mm 53cfm.

    Yeah, that HSF will be great for overclocking, No worries there!:cool:

    Ok ive tryed to overclock to 1.6 but it will not go,system keeps rebooting,trying to get a up to date bios but the epox website is toooooo slow,cant be my power supply as it 400watt,any ideas please :)
