hey all, having a bit of an issue with a windows 7 machine and a printer driver. ok i heres the background. Setup a network last night. 2x windows 7 machines and 1x windows XP. got a epson D88 printer attached via USB to the XP machine. i have shared the printer on the network. i set up 1 win7 machine (lenovo laptop) no problem, it detected the printer and installed the driver which comes built into win7. The other machine however (packardbell effort) detects the printer but cant find a driver for it !!!. It searches windows update and then ask me to find one manually. I ventured on to the epson website and the driver for D88 is built into win7 they dont supply any driver. They tell me to just use the default driver in win7. oo 1 bit of extra info. I can install the printer locally, finds the driver and installs it no problem. it is just when i add network printer. any thoughts ? thanks in advance
no ideas ? *bump* thought about forcing the driver but where are windows 7 built in drivers kept ? *EDIT - seriously n one knows ???
I have the same problem and I didn't solve it yet. I can't find any compatible driver. XP desktop 32 bit --> USB Epson D88 ---> share on Windows 7 64bit -- not working. on my laptop with XP everything is OK
Are the windows 7 installations 32bit or 64bit? Have you tried this? http://www.downloadatoz.com/driver/download_driver_65389.html
