HI Could anyone help me i am going round in circles with this problem. I have re-installed windows xp and my sound card is not working i am getting the code 10 connection problem with the yellow sign on it. I have read and tried too many fixes over the last month with no avail. . re-loaded sound card drivers . re-loaded chipset drivers . re-loaded southport drivers . checked that the bios is set to auto . re loaded everything thro msconfig I am using an onboard device C-MEDIA AC97 SOUNCARD with a 9VIF (ES-675M) - CHAINTECH motherboard PM266-8233 This is bugging the life out of me as nothing seems to be working. Cheers
What have you done since the last time it was working? I assume it has worked before? p.s. Please don't abuse your right to make a poll in a thread, it's not a toy.
To be honest i dont know what the poll was for i thought i had to fill it in. Yes i have re-installed windows xp it was working perfectly before. Cheers
To me, I'd say that if you've had absolutely no luck in getting it working, I'd try a reinstall of windows. Back in the days when I used onboard sound, I had a problem identical to this one, and just had to reformat to get it right.
SPENT A COUPLE OF HRS AND FORMATTED THE COMPUTER THEN RE-INSTALLED XP AND LOW AND BEHOLD MY LITTLE FRIND APPERARED AGAIN - FRUSTRATING - STILL NG
