so i decided to upgrade the RAM in my Asus Maximus V Gene. i picked up a 2x 8GB dual channel kit, and went about installing it as normal. however when i use dual channel mode i get no output at all ( error 55 Memory Not Installed ) when i use single channel it boots and runs fine and both memory sticks work. have i been a pleb and forgot something REALLY obvious ?
Are they banked slots? Do you need to put them in the banks of the same colour rather than adjacent slots? e.g both in red or both in black?
