    well i would say good thing as although it might not lead to cheaper downloads it should allow a greater choice, as smaller companies will be able afford a license and perhaps provide more independant music which would otherwise be unavailable :rock: .

    Got to say it can't make things worse. Currency variation, higher cost of operations <Insert favourite multinational excuse for ripping brits of here!> I suppose it may hurt other markets if all apple do is raise the price in other countries sorry france!

    It should lower prices but that won't be till the competition grows and becomes a threat, which could take a while. But more and more companies will look at this type of product as a good revenue source which should speed competition up a bit.
