there are a few people who've played 2 years+ solo, dunno how they manage tbh
i wouldn't have made it through the first 2 weeks except a bunch of us from irc started together, makes mining much more efficient

i kinda am atm
im sitting in a nice quiet 0.3 system mining jaspet and killing cruiser npc rats whilst i train up adv learning skills then get me some nice T2 lasers :drool:
need to find a nice corp too
only been playing a month and a half so i just get my ass kicked by most people if i try and pvp

Yeah, one of my friends in game has been playing nearly as long as me, and hes always been in his own corp with his 2 alts. I have now idea how he does it. Been trying to recruit him for ages...........

I couldnt play without my corp mates, my XO has been with me for over 2 years now, dunno what id do without him. Though breaking up the fights on our internal forums can get to ya. Anyone that reads the eve forums picture me as a mini eris.


As for carebearing it kinda gets to u after a while. One of my biggest carebears after 2 years she (yes i said she), wants to now go and kill stuff.

Funny you should say that, my XO's characters name is Lady Darksaber (yes he cant spell), for 6 months we didnt have teamspeak or vent, and ll the while the corp thought it was an actual female, as he would roleplay.

Then finally he came on TS and lo and behold it was a bloke. Conversely, one of my guys we all thought was really female, he would do things like buy us little pressies in game for our birthdays and xmas. Again got him onto TS and it was a bloke, (I lost 10M isk on the bet).

But the particular carebear im on about, we are pretty sure its a female, at least it sounds very female on TS, and the pic she sent of herself was one of those that was ripped from a pron site as most men who RP send out.

If in doubt grab for the nut sack and see what happens is my motto.

( Though I would really wanna see BoB and 5 get it on, now that would be entertaining. Lets see BoB have G, PA, TFE, then germinate to conquer before they get round to 5 space. Oh and SA vs FIX thats bound to kick up sooner or later.)

Browsing the forums in my case I find myself marveling at the community im part of, beats WoW hands down any day of the week.

If 5 dont have a 0.0 base anymore, how the hell do they intend on funding their war efforts???

North has be storing isk for months now, and has the base to keep resupplying themselves. If 5 cba with pos's they aint gonna take any stations, and wont be able to establish any industry up there.

/me runs to check and make sure the office in obe and taisy have been paid for.

 

Looks like people are getting fed up with The Five... I hear that they are mainly a bunch of 14-year-old kiddie pirates who spent their time accumulating big ships and shooting at everything that moves. Since school is out earlier than work, they tend to exploit a window of opportunity...

Interesting to see the social dynamics in Eve. Things appear to be self-balancing. If a group steps seriously out of line, they get whacked one way or another.

 

A number of players affiliated with the 5 (Such as DrunkenOne) have been holding a few week long war against FIX. Insert the usual logoff/blob tactics here, and then the vast network of alts that they use to keep an eye on proceedings whilst keeping themselves safe.

We have some funny screenshots of some of the things they complained about during the war (a tackler not being able to hold a battleship iirc until it was destroyed, and subsequently being smacked about fitting warp core stabilisers. The screenshot shows the smack, and a complete lack of WCS fitted. Fast forward a few weeks, and a few of those pilots ended up in Querious. A few killmails later, and lo and behold - Cosmic Fusion fits WCS, yet feels the need to smack anybody else who uses them!)

I may, or may not have had one of my alts in mass during the brief FIX/MASS war, IF I did, I certainly had fun, .

As for The Five. Yes they are an accomplished PVP alliance. I myself cut my teeth in CA back in the day, just before ATUK left and turned on CA, so ive been on both sides f their sword. Personally I think the major reason people are not too fond of them, is there complete lack of respect for other players. Ive heard the smack first hand, and it aint nice (note at the time I was a friendly too)

Also there style of play up and till now has been, point and shoot, as many on the offical forums say "turn eve into CS in space". Now RA have successfully employed a valid game tactic, and an industrial one to evict them out of their space. I agree that its unbalanced, buts its valid, come up with a counter.

If SE was able to lock pilots into a station for 5 days till GM's stepped in, u telling me 5 couldnt muster enough force to camp out a few gateway systems, waiting for the RA haulers????

5's sorte into the north is basically step one of the patented SirMolle ebil master plan......

1) MC (their contracts seem to favour BoB, most of the time), head to clear germinate out for "mercs to use" under a supposid contract.

2) 5 begin to soften the northen alliances. SA will help, maybe not in the form an alliance war, but def melee's out in 0.0. Theyre obligated after the backing trigger receieved in the Stain Empire/Alliance incident.

3) When the northen alliances start to feel the pinch, BoB will attack G. (The current thing is a distraction, or its something else.....I have another idea but my head will explode if i go on). While BoB vs G and IRON is happening MC will strike one at a time from germinate on the northen alliances after having established a major base of operations after step 1.

Ok the other idea is, the reason bob is clearing Aridia is so that 5 can successfully move into fountain with them. No PCS, no pos worries. From there they can launch co-ordinated strikes into the north.

Pure speculation, BoB is one of the very few organisations I havent been able to infultrate with spies. (I like to know whats happening around me)
