OH, and before anyone accuses me of Photoshopping out the HardOCP watermark, this is an official press photo and is in the public domain - I had the original and didn't need to use Kyle's copy.

    lol, pope owned

I'd much rather see a two-slot Arctic Cooling-style cooler (with the DHES or whatever they call it, the equivalent of Abit's OTES) than something silly like this. Especially since this design will most likely have heat dead-spots near the DVI connectors, which is probably bad for the ram at least.

personally, I think it looks ugly... it'd look slightly more appealing in a less-garish colour.

Looks suspiciously like a stock cooler with an ugly green shroud. ;)
Who knows, maybe they took the stock design and made it out of copper instead of aluminium.

That was my initial thoughts when I saw it too... just a big ugly green lump on top of the stock 7800 GTX cooler...

think about what must be underneath there if someone looked at it, threw up all over it, and hey presto they had the colour that can now be seen! :worried:

in theory its a good idea, dont get me wrong, but if not done properly surely it will just insulate all the hot air in around the card? :eyebrow:

Cold be a decent enough mod to paint it as it is a fairly good stealth for the vid card in a case with the v1000 style upside down mobo. I bet it would look pretty nice in a gloss black or maybe a chrome or royal blue.

Is a little misleading image. makes it out like its a huge heatsink underneth, hidden under that green.
