Well it's basically 2 GTX 460's on one pcb. Nice card and good performance but for me the price is a deal breaker. If it is priced close to a GTX 580 I would just opt for a 580 TBH. All we really can do atm is speculate until it is released in the UK so we will know the price.
Well what board are you using now? The price of 2 460's has fallen alot of late, and most people have the ability to sli them. The only people this card is really going to appeal to is that don't have sli support. And most of them, like me, have an AM3 board. (Putting aside psu's without 4 pci-e connectors which i still don't get why a 460 needs 2?) So the price of this evga card will have to be very keen to make it a more attractive prospect than just sli-ing two 460's. Or there has to be some pretty substantial heat/power savings.
i have the following board msi 870A-G54 phenom iix4 955BE and a 600w coolermaster silent pro gold modular psu
Okay, same problem as me; no sli support. It sucks doesn't it? I can see why you're keen on one then.
Yeah, 600W should be plenty. That's a 80% plus cert psu too. Unless something goes horribly wrong when evga create that beast, 600W is enough for sli 460's.
