    No doubt an impressive feat but I think for the world record it should be a system that can be run unattended for a set period of time say 24 hours.

    That would bring more ingenuity to the record attempt and people would have to think of clever ways to OC the rig to the max rather than dumping liquid nitrogen on it and cranking up the voltages.

    these world record things are always done on hardware you can't afford with the most impractical and ugly rigs that wouldn't survive 2 hours without constant attendance (and sometimes still dont)

    I'm guessing the retail price of the hardware is above $3,000 of which the actual OCer's didn't pay a cent, and I bet once they hit the high score they just noodled around then turned off the system.

    It's not like you could actually use that setup for gaming. So really how much should we celebrate hitting high scores in artificial benchmarks?

    @metarinka

    This is a battle of the e-peen, where logic plays no part.

    They need to make two world records, one that is 24/7 stable and one that is... well not.

    Isn't it a shame when the topic itself is so boring that we all have conversations about cocks! (FacePalm)

    What is the world cumming to!! (Oops!)

    I'm just waiting and hoping for Ati to release a 5890 (And 5990 variant) and see that power-hungry, overheating 480 squashed :3

    Me too! Can't wait to see ATI step up it's game and show it's true power =P
    Mind you, I wouldn't mind them putting down the price of the graphics cards either =P
