    Thanks guys :)

    ----

I decided to keep myself busy by making a start on mounting the router. Not much to say really as the pictures cover everything better than words :) It's probably worth pointing out that this is the first time I've ever used a router and I learnt a lot doing it mainly that a jig held together by masking tape is not suitable for nice clean edges lol

Still left to do is another plate to fit on the top with markings and a smaller central hole. Then its off to get some nice new routing bits

    Thanks for looking :)

Necessity is the mother of invention. It's been said if you want to do something easier, get a lazy man to figure it out! lol Saved money on a table, get good bits, winner.:thumb: Speaking of lazy, if I could just get this old jigsaw mounted like that and make a coupling for files. got an old sewing machine pedal to control speed! now that's lazy!:naughty:

    Thanks mate :)

 Just imagining some wacky invention with a sewing machine and some files... you would have to make a work log out of that!

Well I'm not dead  things are still really hectic as were coming into the "busy period" at work so time for Evolution is slim. I did manage to squeeze a bit of time in today to fit on of the switches :)

I began by marking out a piece of scrap.

I don't have a large enough step bit for the switch so it was filed to size.

Clamped the piece into the brake and tested out the fit.

Attached to the caddy with some M4 buttons (once its painted these will be swapped for rivets)

Made a slightly larger hole in the front panel.

The first switch is done :)

I'll be putting in another 2 switches for the lighting and 1 for the DVD drive but haven't decided which ones to get yet :eyebrow:

    Thanks for reading :)
