    Well to keep this short, I have a PC atm but I want to upgrade it.

    I want to run several applications at the same time and when I do this the computer is sluggish and slows down.

    I was thinking of upgrading the motherboard and processor and memory.
    I have about 250 - 300 to spend

    Hi, i'm not an expert, however you could get a cheap quadcore AMD 965 for £128, am3 board with graphics for bout £90, and then spend another £90 on the ram. IT depends how much of your computer you want to upgrade, that should be quite responsive for browsing internet and general computing.

    This is what i got, its in american currency but yeah im not sure where you are from. The ram also has a $20 dollar mail-in rebate so its below $300 dollars with the shipping. These are also all from Newegg.com
