Alright. I need to find a DVD/CD burner for my school to use. Does anyone know of any good external drives I can check out? Help is greatly appreciated.
I've got one coming to me right now... if it works out well, I'll let you know. For reference, it's just a caddy and a normal drive (more specifically a $30 NEC DVD+/-all and a $35 caddy called the AMS Venus somethingorother). Should be here Thursday at the latest. In general though, you can't really go too wrong. Just check out customer reviews and make sure you don't have half the buyers having hellish experiences with the thing. I've historically had good luck with Lite-On drives, though I've never used one of their external units. Come to think of it, I have no idea why I didn't just get one anyways, it would have been the same price. Silly me. And welcome to the forums
