I have 2 HD's in my new Lexa and I'm running XP. My old one (200GB Seagate) pulled from the Matrix (works perfectly) and another new one (125GB Maxtor) not showing up. They are connected via IDE. Both drives are on cable select and are connected to the cable so that the first (200GB Seagate) is the primary and the other (125GB Maxtor) is the slave. Both drives show up in the BIOS and both show up in the Quick boot process, but the slave does not show up in "My Computer". I figured it would appear just as an external HD would. I bought the drive because after rebates it was $12!! so I figured I'll just have another 125GB for other (porn) stuff:D What to do to make it appear in My Computer?

right click on my computer and select manage, then go to disk management - it might need formatting.

You need to just put a partition on it for windows to recognise it, thats assuming its partitioned already.

Do make a partition of it from DISK MANAGEMENT.

I forgot that the drive came with a disk. The software on there made a registry entry that made Windows be able to *see* it. Thanks!
