I like it, but I have 2 questions : -sound level ? Is there any damping on the compressor ? the fans near the upper parts look silent, so are the ones near the cpu ?
    - weight...as well as dimensions, like Stwongbad said.

Pretty nice mod you got there, although a bit too big for my taste.
Obviously alot of attention to detail which is always a plus in modding and clearly you have talent in putting things together!

Being such a huge case, I wonder how much the whole system weight is....something like 30 kilos? Got some sort of special rig for transporting it or?

    Hello bit-tech readers!

First of all so sorry for my late reaction.
Thank you all for your responses. Here are some of the answers to your questions.

The weight of the Extreme Lian Li, with the wooden container for transport to LAN party’s.

    90 kilo =14.173 Stones = 198.42 Pound

Ramble, somebody else toke the photo when I was lifting that case in the wooden-container. I can not find it. Make a new one later. ;)
When I go to a lanparty, I transport it with my VW Caddy. See the wooden container on the left side. ;)

The height 24 cm, for the prometeia 2 cm plexi, 59,5 cm for the Lian Lipc-70, again 2cm plexi and at last 24 cm for the water-cooling.

Total height from the case 111,5 cm = 44 Inches

The greater part of the case is in the bottom-half, so I can asure you, the system is quite solid on the ground.

About the noise. Only when it starting up it makes some noise. What you hear then is the Prometeia. When the Prometeia is running on -45 degrees Celsius, the noise level goes down. There are three 120mm fans for the water-cooling. And four 80mm case fans inside the case. Even when the system is overclocked it has enough cooling power so that the case fans can do the work on 7 volt. When it’s running on stock settings I can switch down the water-cooling fans. The water-cooling part is separated from the case. So the water transports the heat outside the case. It is not influenced by the heat from the case. I think that makes a big difference between using water-cooling radiators outside the case.

This was my first casemod and I worked out till the end. I do my best to show some more casemods from me here. I am still working on some more cases now.

Some special thanks: To my sponsor. Point of View. And to Frenkie for translating this artikel.

Thank you for the compliments. I hope to see you soon.

I really love this mod. I was fortunate to spend two days close to ediejo and his case on the Hardware Info exchange last year. That case is one mean mother :)

the thread @ GoT is almost 2 years old.

    Ediejo,

I love your mod. I have the same Lian Li and was lookingforideas when I came across yours. It truely inspired me. I did have a few questions for you, though. How did you get the leaking light effect on the front panel? Did you place spacers between the case and the front panel mounting legs? Also, how did you polsih the drive cages?

    Thanks for the inspiration!

    Hi :D

I loved this mod :jawdrop: It has some details that I really really loved.
About your question zachfp, I think he polished the cages like this
    [IMG]

Yet I have now other question for Ediejo, I've seen this "structure-thing" some times in one mod and another. What is this called?

I'm thinking starting, with some help, my first mod, and a thing like this would me a lot.

EDIT: I just noticed now that the last post was some months old :worried:

    Cumps,
    nulio
