Is this for real, a US TV show like "Pimp My Ride", but for your PC http://www.extremepcgarage.com/home.html
I'm going to have nightmares about americans shouting "THATS X-TREME DUDE!!" "YEAH DUDE!!! THIS IS LIKE PIMPED DUDE!!" Next rappers are going to have Bling'd PC's..... MTV news: "50cent just upgraded his pczhizzle with some spinners" Sorry......just needed a minor release of rage there...Shows like that annoy me...
Just watched a bit of the pilot, it looks like this is for real, will watch the rest when I get home. This is too scary for words, also had a look at the PC they did, it looks fugly as hell.
they really thought that one through SLI 7800GTX one a monitor that will only display 1280x768 oh sorry, I mean "top of the line fastest card on the planet so fsking uber XFX 7800GTX"
I'm standing by what i said, Its like pimp my ride, none of the "mods" have any real use. Like who the heck is gonna use a fireplace in the back of a truck!? anyone!? now...if they modded a grill for a drivebay.....mmmm grilled cheese that wouldbe usefull.... edit: TOOO MANY X's!!! ARGHHHHH XFX7800TRIPLEXXXUBERGTX EDITION ITS TOO X-treme
hahahahahaha the black guy working on the show sounds like jordi la forge from startrek TNG.hahahahahahahaha
as long as the garage aint 'pc worl' then the world and i can sleep well at night! lmao! this is gonna be huge
Wow. That is horrible. The acting is bad and there are cheesy lines every 5 seconds. And its not even funny... I could see if it was funny, but its not. This is a set in the wrong direction for modding imo. And the computer in the plot episode probably cost just as much as the production for the whole show cost.
'pimp my mom' most likely, i can just imagine the first episode ' oh my god X-zibit, youre gonna pimp my mom' ' first we hit her with the sunburnt orange and toned it to a light blue spark, check out the rims' omfg. Ice
Sooo....it take 5 guys to do the job of one? They basicly just drew a sketch, outsourced it for fabrication, bought a bunch of parts and installed them. oooOOOoooo...thats xtreme. Seriously though, that is really quite rediculous. Why did they choose and LCD TV? Why not one of those top of the line Dell LCD monitors? Oh, and dual X-Connect power supplies? How about just getting one GOOD power supply like a PC&C 510-sli? Personally I hope this show burns as I don't want something like this representing the PC modding community.
Glad the shows in America/sky or whatever, so I won’t ever see it. Looks like it will make pc and modding more mainstream dumbing-down the terminology from clock speeds / and specifications to "Omg this will make your pc zooooooooom"
Honestly, I hope that never makes it any further than it already has. It felt like just a group of people that had no idea what they were doing except that it must be "xtreme." Problem is, modding consist of a whole lot more than just "xtreme." The show looks like it will lack any value and, in my opinion, put a face of modding that completely misrepresents the craft. A modding show done right would focus less on end product and more on the process so instead of people watching and thinking "I want that! Xtreme!!!" maybe they would learn some new skills to apply themselves. Err, and another thing, while almost no american will deny the stupidity of many of our fellow citizens, its still kinda insulting to associate pure crap such as that with the entirety of america.
