Graphics eyefinity help needed

okay well i realized that for nvidia surround u need 2 or more gpus to run it but with eyefinity i was told you only needed one gpu. If this is true i will b selling my gtx 460 and getting possible a 6970

 

That is true, but the inputs for the screens need to relate to the outputs on the graphics card (IE 2x DVI and 1x display port).

 

okay thanks imma get a 6870 or 6970 depends when i sell my gtx 460 ssc

 

Be sure to get an active display adapter or display port capable monitor, or it will cause you issues. 3 dvi monitors and one needs to have the adapter. The cable costs about $20-$30. This is if you are going to use 3 monitors.
