There are dozens of super-involved beat-em-ups out there, with bo-staffs and boobs being a staple of the genre. Now though, Facebreaker tries to take the genre back to the arcade roots with a new boxing presentation. Is it an instant ring-out? We take a look!

my god this game is hard. I fancy myself as at least of average skill at most beat 'em ups, and the very first AI opponent handed myass with a side of humble pie.

Hated the demo, was frustrating as hell. I'm not going to even try to rent the retail one.

Maaan... i'm one of the people mentioned in the article that get bored fairly quickly of games...
buuut... for some reason, i found myself utterly (and i mean obsessively) fascinated with skate - also a game with a steep learning curve and walls of frustration. For that exact reason, i am now torn in two as to which fighter to get: Soul Calibur, Facebreaker, or wait it out and get street fighter?

Jesus, it is just one of those games that you cry about on a night because it made you smash your monitor up in an uber fit.
