http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/entertainment/3967361.stm hmm, so I could pay to see it. a little redundant (i.e. pointless) methinks.
Useless dribble, most people that saw Fahrenheit 9/11 know most of the movie is is total s*it. He just put different snippets or George Bush taken out of context, together to make a documentary totally missrepresenting the facts. "George Bush went to sleep that night on fine silk linions", that statement form the movie did it for me, first off, who cares, second, what does this have to do with IRAQ, 9/11, or George Bush. Michel Moore hates america, and yet he doesnt mind makeing tons of money off the system he mocks when ever he gets a chance. He started to loose credability with Bowling for columbine and lost all credability with Fahrenheit 9/11. It should be classified as a comedy and only seen if you want a good laugh. Just another stunt pulled off by the democratic party to try and save Kerry from his impending loss.
Can you please show a documented lin k between the Democrats and Farenheit 9/11? Preferably a money trail? If not I would keep your basing of another political party to yourself unless someoone explisitly brings up the election.
You want a link here, http://marc.perkel.com/archives/000468.html , do you think that if Moore was a rebublican he would have made this movie. OR the people hosting it, wierd how they will be only hosting it till Nov 2nd. Why not after Nov 2nd? O, right, the election is Nov 2nd.........
Sorry but that link does not support anything. You have directly accused teh democratic party of orcustrating the production of Farenheit 9/11. I asked for a direct link between the democratic party and the production of the film. You have posted a site which is by Marc Perkel who even though he writes alot of politcal based stuff does not seem to be connected to the production of said film. He has seen a view which support Kerry's point of view and wants others to see it and has asked if he can distrubute it. He has been granted this. I do not see how this can be seen as a "stunt" that the democrtic party has "pulled off". Can you please enlighten me to how the Democratic party has pulled this "stunt" off without actually being involved in the production and initial distribuition of said film?
Oh just to let you know, Mike chose to show it early. By showing it when he is, he will loose his nomination for the awards.
Most of the movie is clips of Bush and Co, so how could it be total sh*t? Moore doesn't have to try to make Bush look bad, Bush does a damn good job of it himself. btw nice avatar dude. I bet that if a Brit joined an American forum and put a burning American flag as his avatar, you'd have something to say about it. Ironic that you don't show that same consideration for others...
ive already said how dare bloodsmoke come onto this british forum and have that as his avitar i mean no wonder people are tuning agisnt americans i know i for one am extremly (and i mean if i met this lad i would really really ahve to fight not to hit him) pissed off at him for this
Yeah dude, seriously get rid of it, or your going to annoy alot of people on this forum, and tbh the more you annoy, the more people will get pissed at you, and not see your views, if your gonna take a stab at the brits, do it with rationality and reasoning/fact, as you havent tried yet and your wondering why everyone is seeing you as a Nazi.. Dude the avatars childish, it points nothing else, hell its terrorists burning it, thought you hated terrorists, is terrorism against another country ok, if it aint your precious america.... anyways, yeah 9/11 tbf I watched it, and only saw a few good points, yeah its just a knife for micheal moore to attack bush with, but if it works and gets even just a few more people to vote for someone else, then thats all that matters really...And yeah so hes making a tidy profit out of it, but hes still putting his view first, by missing out on the awards etc - M@
You guys should read all threads, i had no problem removing it, as soon as Lord_A removed his, they have both been removed by a Moderator.
Doesn't matter why you posted, if the thread has something to do with this "movie" and / or Iraq in any capacity, it will always boil down to an argument like this in the end.
the thing about fine silk linions isnt necessaraly about 9/11 iraq what have you its just a line used in the dodumentary. its also a great movie put together amazingly so not EVERYTHING has to do with iraq. oh yea and if he hates america why would he stand up and show what is wrong with our system. If he hates america why would he waste time and money making a movie to show some light? If he hates america then why does he go in the public light to speak out? He is hated because of it. I would say hes a damn good patriot. being a patriot isnt about backing the leader blindly. we have the freedom to speech because of this because we thought it was important to speak out, and it is. Its what makes our contry great. If any of the colonial leaders (ie thomas paine) didnt speak out we would be british today. Think about what patriotism is before you say someone hates there country sorry if this was an old post it just agravated me.
I shouldn't really post to this, but I have to make some counterpoints: Sensationalism and publicity - plus he wanted to get another Oscar. because of the sensationalism, the publicity and the timing, the "documentary" grossed over 80 million in the 1st 3 weeks. See above dollar figure. Have you read any of the counter-F911 articles? I'm not saying that F911 is all bull, I'm saying that most of what Moore put in this "documentary" was taken well out of context with his half witted commentary thrown in. Read http://www.moorewatch.com or buy this documentary for the other side of the argument. I don't want to get into this same old tired argument, so most likely I will not post in this thread again. Plus if it turns ugly, I won't hesitate to lock it up tight.
