The project equipment list is coming together. Very little of it is actually available at the moment but I have firm promises of sponsor support. Intel i7-6700K CPU Gigabyte GA-Z170N-Gaming 5 motherboard Gigabyte AMD Nano video card Corsair H5SF water cooling system Corsair SF600 SFX power supply HyperX Predator 480GB M.2 SSD 16GB DDR4 system memory (HyperX or Corsair) The goal will once again be to stuff as much power as I can into the smallest package. 8 liters or less is the goal. I'm most exited about Corsairs new SSF AIO water cooler. It might of been fun to do an ultra-compact "regular" water cooling system but potential sponsors don't seem to be interested in my mostly mainstream media attention. Understandable but still a shame. Many, many moons ago myself and Paul Capello became Corsairs first sponsored modders. We had a fallout a couple of years later only because the guy in charge at Corsair changed jobs. This sort of thing happens all the time. The people who replace them are just on another page. This project reunites that relationship simply because the new person in charge is an old time friend and fan of mine. The circle of life modder-style.

Don't know if you've been following this guy, but: linky Small is nice, but I want you to do something insane with complex curves. (There. I said it again.) You've proven you can knock out a fantastic case in a few weeks. Let's see you waste some extra material and time.
I know, right? Paul retired ten years ago. He's playing with BB guns somewhere. That's really cool. I count eight power tools which is seven more than I have. Real men use their hands and take their time. Am I right ladies? Besides I did the "complex curves" thing back in 2006... All hand-shaped. I'll put my giant microphone PC up against anybody's insane project.
I played around with a PCIe riser card last year thinking it was a good demonstration of the scale of the Mini-ITX sized video cards. I keep coming back and sniffing at this config.
Stood upright and fitted with a tight cover, the CPU vent hole and GPU vent hole would face in opposite directions. The cover itself would be heavily meshed and vented to allow for heat exhaust. The PSU would be embedded in a base that held it all up. The various cooling fans would all take their air directly from the outside. Something like that.
I think it limits the console form factor as it won't fit under a tv. Is there a riser which would flip over the gpu?
I don't think many people will spend nearly $700 on a video card to simply drive an HDTV with it. Besides, I'm more of a "Will it attract attention at a tradeshow?" kinda guy....so are sponsors apparently.
