I got my limited edition copy today.

It's surprisingly imersive, in my opinion. I only stopped playing because I have to do some work >.>

Tell me about it, I though it was just me! As for the game itself, its pretty good. Must admit though, it doesnt feel like fallout though, more like stalker perhaps?

If Bioshock and STALKER has sexy time, this is the game you would get. Difficult to know what's coincidence and what's influence.

Played it for a good few hours now, and it's an extremely engrossing game. Not perfect, but very, very good.

The VATS system is really good, a lot better than I thought, although early on it feels overpowered. It's not til you confront larger groups of ghouls etc that it becomes a more tactical ability.

One thing I've noticed this week from playing both this and FC2 - developers, imho, need to think about how to make exploration and wayfinding in large play areas less of a chore and a more intuitive experience. A lot of the exploration and questing in FO3, whilst fun, can feel a bit random and haphazard in the urban areas. Lots of dead ends and unclimbable piles of rubble.

Best way to kill those scorpion/running crab guys? the ones with the tiny faces. I use V.A.T.S on their faces, and use all my AP, but it still doesn't down them, then I end up using all my ammo on one of them, and then go round a corner, bump into another and get munched. argh

Oldest son has had this on his Alienware for a couple days - appears tough - Gamestop for the "Guide book" today. Is this cheating?
I have only done Myst - but no systems in house that will do that low of resolution anymore. Old and Sad.

Its my personal opinion that its only cheating if it gives you an advantage over someone else. So buying a game guide isn't cheating becase you can decide how much to use it.

Fred Meyer has the book in stock but not the game. That said, I'll buy it when it hits the $15 clearence sale.

I blew the Overseer's head into tiny pieces, and I totally didn't want to... But it was hilarious. His daughter stepped on bits of his skull.

My one and ONLY gripe with this game so far is the navigation. It is very easy to get lost, if you ask me. Considering how similar everywhere looks.

For some reason I agreed to two double shifts, but it does mean I've placed an order for it :D Got the regular edition for £35, it's £38 on GAME (didn't find it cheaper anywhere else) and I used some points I had.

Must say, I like the new prices we've been getting, I didn't notice it really until recently when I was hunting around for Fable II in the brick and mortar shops, but most places had it for £40, whereas last time I looked not long ago, a new release was rarely below £50, especially on the day of it's release.

Loving this game so far. It managed to pull me away from Fable II the day I launched it haha. I am in a bit of delima though, a mag I read said to stockpile energy weapons and ammunition and sell them laterbecause they aren't worth the skill points invested to use them (ammo is apparently expensive), yet I've found a Laser Pistol, and a plethora of ammo for it, which sells back at the same price as 10MM ammo. Did I miss something here? That's not "expensive" at all like the mag said. My guess is there must be some much harder to find energy weapons you can't buy ammo for that sells for alot. Either way I think I'm not going to listen to the mag. It's hard enough burning up so much ammo on some types of creatures, I wan't to carry as many small guns as I can so I can lay down the law when I need to.

QFT and the map really isnt that much of a help.

Loving the game, only problem is the limited time due to RA3.

Has anyone else encounted this? So after helping the Brotherhood of Steel free an initiate trapped at the Church Station, evertime I return to Megaton city fo rest, Paladin Hoss, the Initiate, and a Brotherhood of Steel Knight always end up outside my door, and then they run off and leave Megaton. :waah: It's kinda creepin me out because I think they are stalking me haha
